HEATWAVE HELL FROM MID-1800S?

Enca reports meteorological stations across the world have confirmed that the months of June, July, August, September, and October have been the hottest months since the mid-1800s for South Africa.

The publication adds that scientists also reveal that the impact of climate change will get worse until we stop putting more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than can be removed by the planet.

The Citizen reports that South Africans should expect the heatwave to last until Tuesday, 28 November in most provinces.

SOUTH AFRICANS REACT TO HOT WEATHER: ‘GLOBAL WARMING IS A SCAM’

@motswenyanelk: “Then clearly, global warming is a scam if we had hot days like these in the mid-1800s.”

@EdibleBloke: “Lol, global warming doesn’t mean that we’ve never had hot weather. It’s the frequency of hot days. Back then, there were fewer as opposed to now.”

@Brettbenraphael: “No. I definitely remember it to be much hotter in the mid 1800s here. We were really worried about global warming back then.”

@Porschephile_1: “I remember it being much hotter in the 1700s to be honest.”

@Hlawuleka5: “Here in Giyani it’s been 40/39 all week.”
