‘Blood & Water’: A look at season four of hit Netflix series

A look at the fourth season of South African hit thriller series ‘Blood & Water’ coming to Netflix in early 2024.

Netflix announced that Blood & Water season four will hit screens in the first quarter of 2024, and the streaming platform shared images from the upcoming season.

‘BLOOD AND WATER’ SEASON FOUR

Puleng Khumalo (Ama Qamata) and Fikile Bhele (Khose Ngema) are returning for yet another season of Netflix’s hit series Blood & Water. The series, written and directed by Nosipho Dumisa and Gambit Films, is set to release in early 2024. No exact release date has been released as yet.

Back in June, Netflix announced that season four of Blood & Water was in production.

Netflix has since listed the series on their South African slate for the rest of 2023 and early 2024. The streaming giant teased more thrilling life lessons for the Parkhurst kids.

“Parkhurst High’s finest are coming back to delight our members with more thrilling (and hard-earned) life lessons. The new season of the local and international hit series from writer and director Nosipho Dumisa and Gambit Films, launching in the first quarter of 2024,” read the press release.

BOMBSHELLS FROM ‘BLOOD & WATER’ SEASON THREE

  • The sisters’ investigation into Lisbeth (Sonia Mbele) reaches a significant stage. However, she retaliates by getting Julius (Getmore Sithole) killed in a car crash, leaving Puleng severely injured.
  • Puleng gets kidnapped from a rave party and dumped with other victims. She then meets school councillor Janet Nkosana (Zikhona Sodlaka).
  • Chris (Arno Greeff) and Wendy (Natasha Thahane) develop their fling into a romantic relationship. This soon turns into a long-distance relationship as Wendy has an opportunity to go to Spain.
  • KB finally becomes exposed to the truth about his parents – Lisbeth and Matla Molapo (Sello Maake Ka-Ncube). Lisbeth then has KB, Fikile, and Chris subdued and Matla and Fikile are shot.
  • Fikile is saved by her biological father, Anthony Gabisa (Thapelo Mokoena).
