Nine-hour water supply interruption in parts of Tshwane today
Planned maintenance may result in a nine-hour water supply interruption in parts of Tshwane on Wednesday, 28 February.

Parts of Tshwane may face a nine-hour water supply interruption due to planned maintenance.
The maintenance is scheduled for Wednesday, 28 February from 8:00 – 17:00.
POSSIBLE WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTION IN TSHWANE
In a statement, the City of Tshwane said it will carry out a planned connection to a water supply at Erasmuskloof Ext 3.
The municipality said although an interruption to the water supply will be avoided at all costs, it may occur between 8:00 and 17:00.
The following areas may be affected:
- Erasmuskloof Ext 3
- Garsfontein 374 – JR
- Waterkloof Glen
- Waterkloof Heights Ext 3, 7 and 14
- Waterkloof Ridge
RESIDENTS URGED TO ADHERE TO CONSERVATION MEASURES
In an effort to conserve water, the City of Tshwane has requested that residents adhere to the following guidelines:
- Refrain from watering gardens with hosepipes or sprinkler systems between 6:00 and 18:00.
- Avoid vehicle washing with hosepipes.
- No filling swimming pools during the maintenance period.
- Install low-flow shower heads and tap aerators.
- Use dual-flush toilet cisterns.
- Plant indigenous or drought-resistant shrubs.
- Utilise rainwater for garden irrigation or car washing.
- Use a broom instead of a hosepipe for cleaning.
- Close taps while brushing teeth or shaving.
