What happens when one of the stars of DStv’s Real Housewives of Durban (RHODurban) plans the happiest day of her life? Serious drama served with a side of scandal and a party that no one will ever forget. Here are five moments to look back on from episode three… from the dress fitting to the eccentric bridal shower. The below moments have spoilers so proceed with caution or simply catch-up on the DStv App.
Episode three saw Annie visit Jacqui Emmanuel Studio with her best friend and sister to try on her wedding dress. We got to see the gorgeous fabric, which included six shades of pink and hand-dyed and embellished pearls as part of the design. If you thought that was all, the material for Annie’s dress comes from the Elie Saab Runway and features a six-foot long train.
While touching her fabric, Annie and her girls discuss how the wedding is three years in the making. Having started planning in 2018, Annie fell pregnant and refused to be a pregnant bride, so the couple decided to wait to tie the knot.
Episode three is also where we hear that Annie doesn’t just have one dress for the wedding but a second as well… and a surprise third one in the works to accompany a special performance for her hubby-to-be.
Not all the RHODurban ladies are invited to the Mthembu wedding. Kgomotso didn’t get the golden ticket as Annie doesn’t know her well enough to ask her to the intimate affair. Inevitably, feelings were hurt…
Annie extends an invitation to the ladies to join her at her Bad B***hes Only themed bridal shower at a popular Durban nightclub. Much to Kgomotso’s surprise, Annie asks if she’ll participate and, better yet, don the dress code – leather, of course!
Next week’s episode will feature the housewife we have yet to see, Nonkanyiso Conco or LaConco as she now prefers to go by. With the tagline: “I never stumble, distinctive is the centrepiece of my table,” LaConco will be full of surprises as she meets the different ladies and finds her purpose within the group.
Real Housewives of Durban airs on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) on Sundays at 19:00. It will feature every week at the same time.
