When Nyakallo (Jessica Sithole) began working at the Dikana mansion as their helper, Emma (Lunathi Mampofu) was the only one who could see through her sly game.

Emma warned her to stay clear of their Dikana men. She even threatened to end her life if she makes a move on either Zolani (Lawrence MAaleka) or Zweli (Hlomla Dandala).

Zweli: Marriage proposal and divorce

By the time Lindiwe (Sindi Dlathu) returned from her vacation, Zweli was already head-over-heels in love with Nyakallo.

Then Zweli proposed marriage to Nyakallo and told Lindiwe he wanted a divorce.

But Lindiwe outsmarted him and brought his mother to their mansion. Lindiwe knew that Zweli’s mother wouldn’t approve of him divorcing her. But Zweli stood firm with his decision.

‘The River’ known for lavish weddings

When Lindiwe realised that her husband no longer loved her, she gave him her blessing to marry Nyakallo.

Nyakallo began to plan her wedding using the best wedding planners. This is a standard procedure of every season of the show.

The River is known to throw lavish weddings from Tumi and Zolani in season one, Paulina and Cobra in season two, and Zolani and Emma in season three.

Emma and Zolani just broke the news to Lindiwe that they’ve ordered a hit on Nyakallo. The hit was set to take place on the wedding day.

However, Lindiwe ordered them to call off the hit as she doesn’t want Zweli to suspect her if Nyakallo died.

But Lindiwe struggled to get a hold of the hitman as their phone is off…

Jessica Sithole is Bloemfontein-born actress who graduated with a degree in drama and theatre arts at the University of Free State.
