‘Smoke and Mirrors’ Spoiler: Caesar’s friend gets killed

Smoke and Mirrors fan-favourite character Mtheto, played by Kabomo Vilakazi has exited the e.tv telenovela.

HOW MTHETHO WILL DIE

The TVSA Smoke and Mirrors April teasers reveal that Mtheto will get killed by Caesar’s fiancée, Thandiswa (Ayanda Bandla).

Friday, 12 April season one finale teaser reveals that Vilakazi’s character will die on Thandiswa and Caesar’s wedding day.

“Thandiswa learns Mthetho and Caesar were also involved in her sister’s murder. She stabs Mthetho to death before walking down the aisle to marry Caesar.”

The teasers also confirm that Thandiswa will continue with marrying Caesar (Zolisa Xaluva) after killing his best friend.

Mtheto was a police officer, engaged to be married to Leeroy (JT Medupe) in the fictional town called Emnyameni.

The actor and musician Kabomo Vilakazi has also starred in Generations, Rhythm City, Zabalaza, Scandal! etc.

‘SMOKE AND MIRRORS’: MORE SPOILERS

Smoke and Mirrors April teasers also reveal that Caesar will buy the house he shared with Virginia (Zinhle Mabena) for Thandiswa.

Monday 29 April: “When Thandiswa tells him that Virginia rejected their offer, Caesar agrees to double what he’s willing to pay for the house.”

Tuesday, 30 April: “Caesar reluctantly agrees to Virginia’s counteroffer.”

The teasers also reveal Caesar will question Thandiswa about Mthetho’s murder and she will burn her bloodied wedding dress.

Friday, 26 April: “Thandiswa has to make an impossible choice between Caesar and her sister that will change the course of her life.”

E.tv has renewed the popular telenovela, Smoke and Mirrors which secured 3.4 million viewers in February 2024 according to the Broadcast Research Council of South Africa.

Season two will premiere on Monday, 15 April when actor Hlomla Dandala takes over the role of Caesar after Zolisa Xaluva’s exit.
