‘I am a better actor’: ‘Diep City”s Charleston thanks on-screen wife
Pastor Charleston has credited his growth as an actor to his ‘Diep City’ on-screen wife, Asanda who has been dubbed the ‘nyaope queen’.

The Zimbabwean-born actor Chrispen Nyathi (plays Charleston) has taken to Instagram to show his appreciation to his onscreen wife Zikhona Bali (plays Asanda).
Chrispen says working with Zikhona feels like he is attending an acting workshop on its own.

CHRISPEN THANKFUL TO ZIKHONA
The Bulalwayo native says, “Only a few are privileged enough to play🎥🎬 with those that inspire then. Working🎥 with @zikhona_bali feels like a workshop on its own, and because of you Zikhona I believe I am a better actor, ngiyabonga mama”.
A number of viewers that love the chemistry Chrispen and Zikhona have on-screen have also appreciated the love these two share and how humorous it has been watching them.

CHARLESTON AND ASANDA ON DIEP CITY
The fan-favourite couple plays church leaders in the Mzansi Magic telenovela but they aren’t married yet.
Asanda begged Charleston to put a ring on it for the longest time and he finally proposed. The proposal brought a lot of issues for them. Charleston’s crushee came back from the dead, ready to fight for him once again. She even stolen mamfundi’s ring. Obsession on steroids.
The newly engaged couple are not faced with Asanda taking drugs, nyaope to be specific and the way Chatleston is dealing with it has proven to be out of hand.
But it seems the obsessed woman has a hand in Asanda’s addiction and viewers are not liking it.
