SABELO CELE IN ‘THE BLACK DOOR’

In July this year, Black Brain Pictures announced that Abdul had joined the drama series, sharing at the time that his debut would be on 8 August. Later in the month, it was revealed that both brothers had been selected for the role but fans would have to vote for the Khoza brother they wanted to see playing the role of Sabelo Cele the stripper.

“Unfortunately Abdul had to leave as he is shooting on another production and the schedules were clashing,” said Black Brain.

“We chose SK because we believe he is the perfect fit for the show and the role he will play, we like his characteristics as an individual,” the production company was quoted as saying.

SK’s character, Sabelo, aims to reveal the truth behind Rebecca Mabuza’s cutthroat nature and allow viewers to tap into Boniswa as an emotional, spoilt, but real-life woman and mother.Rebecca Mabuza aka Mam’ Rebs is played by former Isibaya actress, Linda Sebezo. Meanwhile, Boniswa is played by Gabisile Tshabalala.
