‘Skeem Saam’ Fans: ‘Romeo is playing this coconut Tbose well’
‘Skeem Saam’ viewers have changed their tune about actor Hungani Ndlovu’s latest role as Tbose Maputla in the SABC1 soapie.

Skeem Saam viewers are impressed with actor Hungani Ndlovu’s role as the “snobbish” Tbose Maputla, who returned from overseas on Monday, 3 July episode.

‘THIS NEW TBOSE MAPUTLA IS BETTER’
Fans of the educational soapie Skeem Saam now reveal that actor Cornet Mamabolo, who played the first Tbose Maputla wouldn’t have portrayed the new character better than Hungani Ndlovu.
Ndlovu also previously played a snobbish role in e.tv’s most-watched soapie Scandal! as Romeo Medupe and exited the show in August 2021.
@Im__Charisma tweeted: “Lol, Hungani is portraying this Tbose character much better than the original Tbose. This is exactly the Tbose we needed from the beginning. Props to the Skeem Saam producers.”
@PhiliMaseko: “How so? Cornet is Tbose and that will never change. But what the producers did well is making a new total different character of Tbose cause it was going to be difficult for the new Tbose to tamp into the old Tbose shoes. A whole new different Tbose was a smart move.”
@Im__Charisma: “Hungani’s portrayal of the Tbose character is exactly how it should be depicted. Unlike his friends, he hails from a wealthy family, making him a spoiled brat who behaves snobbishly and superiorly, a characteristic that has been lacking in the previous Tbose rendition.”
@ThisIsJess__ : “I’ve been lying to myself just to back Cornet because I’ve been attached to him since season 1, but I need to be honest with myself and confess that Hungani really plays this Tbose character very well. He’s funny, confident, snobbish, and fits perfectly into this role.”
