Actress Zikhona Bali joins ‘Code 13’
Former ‘DiepCity’ actress Zikhona Bali has secured a role in Mzansi Magic’s
upcoming telenovela ‘Code 13’.

Actress Zikhona Bali, who played Pastor Charleston’s girlfriend Asanda in DiepCity has landed a role in Code 13.
ZIKHONA BALI: NEW ROLE
Entertainment commentator Jabu McDonalds reports that the actress Zikhona Bali will star in Seriti Films’ Code 13.
She will act alongside Zolisa Xaluva, Thami Mngqolo, Aluve Mjali, Lunathi Mampofu, Primo Baloyi, and Saint Seseli.
Mzansi Magic reports that Code 13 is set in the gritty heart of Joburg, which follows the story of Bheki Ndlovu (Zolisa Xaluva).
TVSA reports that Bali has also starred in Generations, Rhythm City, Binnelanders, Umlilo and more.
The upcoming Mzansi Magic’s new drama series will premiere on Sunday, 14 April at 20:00 on channel 161.
HER ROLE IN ‘DIEPCITY’
The actress Zikhona Bali joined Mzansi Magic’s canned telenovela DiepCity as Pastor Charleston’s (Chrispen Nyathi) girlfriend Asanda.
She tells Sowetan that if it were up to her, she wouldn’t be leaving DiepCity at the time and the character she grew to love.
But she understands that it’s the end of the road for Asanda much like all storylines. She’s never played the role of a pastor’s side chick who’s a criminal.
“Asanda is dearly loved by those around her because at first, she seemed sweet and angelic only to turn out the exact opposite.”
“She gets caught up in the land of dodgy dealings with her pastor boyfriend and battling drug addiction… how she’ll exit the show will certainly shake viewers. I’ve loved acting on the set, I’ve loved the people I worked with on the show and playing Asanda, but now I have to step away and find Zikhona again.”
