THABISILE ZIKHALI JOINS ‘ISITHA: THE ENEMY’

IOL reports that the Black Door actress Thabisile Zikhali has secured a role in Isitha: The Enemy and her Uzalo role is set to have a major twist.

She admits she made mistakes on her first production Alleyway which aired on Amazon Prime and adds that it was a learning experience.

“I thank God that the production gave me an opportunity. When I watch it now; I say that these people took a chance on me because I knew nothing. But you need those people who will believe in you so that you can learn.

“What I love about my journey more than anything is that with every show you can see the growth. You compare ‘The Queen’ and ‘Rockville’, you see a difference and with ‘Rockville’ and ‘The Black Door’ there is a huge difference.

The publication adds that Zikhali has been nominated for awards in Nigeria and Zambia. The actress won the Best New Actor Award at the Scream Awards in Nigeria in 2022.

HER ROLE IN ‘UZALO’

The actress Thabisile Zikhali portrayed the role of Constable Biyela in Uzalo. She tells the publication that her character will no longer be the honourable officer viewers have come to love.

Zikhali credits the late Shona Ferguson for giving her first major role on Mzansi Magic’s canned telenovela The Queen. She says the role opened the door for other productions to cast her.

She says she’s a woman of faith and in everything that she does within the industry, she makes sure that God is visible.

“There are a lot of jobs that I have booked because of God, my humbleness and my ability to work with people.”

“Apart from having talent, you need to have respect and be humble, because no one wants to work with a talented diva, and the industry is full of talented divas that aren’t getting booked.”

The actress is also known for her roles in Ferguson Films’ Rockville and Black Brain Pictures’ The Black Door.

Watch Zikhali on e.tv’s Isitha: The Enemy at 21:30 and SABC1‘s Uzalo, weekdays at 21:00.
