Delightful scents and sounds will meet hungry festival-goers on Saturday, 5 and Sunday, 6 March 2022 this year when the ever-popular Proe’toria is presented at Monte De Dios.

About the Proe’toria Festival

Artists such as Jo Black, Karen Zoid, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Riana Nel, Refentse, Early B, Martin Bester, Janie Bay and many more are ready to spoil festival-goers with their music while boutique gin, niche wines, jams and beer can be tasted. The popular JacarandaFM personality, Thabiso Khambule, is the weekend’s host and various prizes will be given away to lucky festival-goers.

“We were looking forward to festivals taking place again and can not wait to get on Proe’toria’s stage,” said Pierre Greeff, of Die Heuwels Fantasties.

According to Leon Pheiffer, owner of Monte de Dios and the EPH Group, they are delighted that this festival can continue again, after several postponements.

“We have been waiting for two years to present Proe’toria again and are now working very hard to give people an incredible experience. Together with the artists, we are grateful to generate income for them again,” he said.

“Proe’toria has something for everyone and I look forward to be a part of it. Spoil the whole family and come to the festival,” said Riana Nel.

A safe playground

More than 40 unique stalls from suppliers across the country attend Proe’toria and this year is no exception.

Kids will be entertained on a safe playground where they will be kept busy all day.

Festival-goers will also be able to spoil their taste buds with several boutique spoils from the main sponsor, Whitley Neill Handcrafted Dry Gin, which will be available. They boast varieties like aloe-and-cucumber, raspberry, and lemongrass-and-ginger.

A wine tent where various types of wine can be tasted will also be one of the highlights of this festival this year.
