Meet the cast of Mzansi’s upcoming telenovela ‘Champions’

Mzansi Magic’s upcoming telenovela ‘Champions’ which replaces ‘The River’ is a story of passion, power, perseverance, and ultimate triumph.

Tshedza Pictures’ upcoming telenovela Champions which replaces The River in February is a story of passion, power, perseverance, and ultimate triumph.

MEET CAST OF MZANSI MAGIC TELENOVELA

Sunday World reports that Champions will feature A-list stars such as Kwenzo Ngcobo, Thembinkosi Mthembu, Tumisho Masha, Sello Maake KaNcube, Kgomotso Christopher and Jo-anne Reyneke.

The former The Wife star Kwenzo Ngcobo will play the character of Zipho, who is a titan in the space of talent management, while Mthembu will play Ferrari, who was once the crown jewel of South African football.

Former Generations and Skeem Saam actor Sello Maake ka-Ncube will portray the role of Washington Modise, a former player-turned-entrepreneur.

Scandal! and Legacy star Kgomotso Christopher will play Maake’s on-screen-wife Lucinda Modise. Her story is one of quiet strength, enduring support, and the influential role of a partner in the whirlwind world of success and power.

Tumisho Masha will star as Philemon Modise, who is overshadowed by his brother Washington.

The Estate and Generations: The Legacy Jo-anne Reyneke will portray the role of Washington’s daughter, Sne Modise, who is a symbol of resilience and ambition in a male-dominated soccer empire.

Battling the storm caused by sudden changes in her father Washington’s life, Sne is thrown into a series of challenges, love, and betrayal.

Champions premiers on DStv Mzansi Magic (channel 161) from Monday, 5 February at 7pm (Mondays to Fridays).
