Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos rocketed into space on Tuesday 20 July. The world’s richest man travelled alongside three crew members: His brother Mark, 82-year-old aeronautics pioneer Wally Funk — who became the oldest person to ever go to space — and Dutch student Oliver Daemen, who at 18 years old became the youngest space traveller.
Bezos’ short trip to space was met with a fair share of ridicule online as the jokes and memes about the shape of the rocket among other things.

Tweeps rarely disappoints when it comes to mocking what they perceive as self-absorbed rich people. From verified accounts to your average user, the ridicule was extensive. Have a look:
It wasn’t all penis jokes and movie character comparisons, there were a number of people who expressed their discontent over Bezos’s trip to space. Among these were American politicians Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with both of them standing up for mistreated Amazon workers.
