‘Isitha: The Enemy’ is the second-watched TV show on e.tv

E.tv’s popular telenovela, ‘Isitha: The Enemy’ secured second place on the channel with over 4 million viewers.

Isitha: The Enemy gained second position on e.tv, while House of Zwide secured first place.

‘ISITHA: THE ENEMY’ SECURES SECOND POSITION

The Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) March 2024 figures reveal that Isitha: The Enemy received 4 million viewers on e.tv in March.

The popular fashion telenovela beat e.tv’s long running soapie, Scandal! which received 3.7 million viewers while House of Zwide secured first position with 4.2 million viewers.

The March figures also reveal that Smoke and Mirrors is the fourth-most-watched show with 3.6 million which.

The Black Brain Pictures’ popular telenovela secured third position on e.tv with 3 700 513 viewers after House of Zwide in February.

The telenovela stars actors Thobani Nzuza, Zamani Mbatha, Dawn Thandeka King, Senzo Radebe, Linda Sebezo and many more.

‘SCANDAL!’ LOSES VIEWERS ON E.TV

E.tv reports that the thrilling, suspense-filled family-oriented telenovela Isitha: The Enemy follows Chuma Sokhulu, a man who left his life as a preacher to become a criminal in a foreign country.

“After being presumed dead for a year, Chuma makes a dazzling return to his hometown, only to discover that his brother has committed the ultimate betrayal.”

In the story, an epic sibling rivalry ensues between the Sokhulu brothers, who soon will realise that they have a bigger enemy to face on the horizon.

The March figures also reveal that House of Zwide was placed first on e.tv after Skeem Saam beat Scandal! in its 19:30 timeslot in March.

BRCSA March figures also reveal that Skeem Saam received 3.9 million viewers when it joined Scandal! in its 19:30 timeslot.

Uzalo remains the most-watched TV show on SABC1, followed by Generations: The Legacy while Skeem Saam gained third place.
