As Netflix’s hit series Emily in Paris continues filming, new characters and a new love interest for Emily has been revealed via Netflix Queue’s Twitter account on 24 May.

Emily in Paris stars Lily Collins as a young, ambitious American marketing executive who lands her dream job in Paris as she leads the social media strategy at a French luxury marketing company. The series follows Emily’s adventures of work, travel and romance while in Paris.

To the surprise of many, the series received a Golden Globe nomination at the beginning of this year and production for season two kicked off on 3 May.

Season one ended with Emily finding out that Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, the chef she shared a little romance with is not leaving Paris like she thought. However, his ex-girlfriend Camille, played by Camille Razat is not quite out of the picture either.

Where does this leave Emily? Apparently into the arms of another. Netflix revealed that Emily will have a new love interest in the upcoming season and he is Scream Queen’s Lucien Laviscount. He plays the role of Alfie who is described as “sarcastic and charming cynic” who works to live according to Deadline

Alfie was born and raised in London and he refuses to speak French or immerse himself in the French culture. He came to Paris working for a United Kingdom (UK) bank. Emily and Alfie are said to have an antagonist relationship that grows into something more.

Two new cast members confirmed

Netflix Queue announced two other new cast members coming to the series this season.

French actor Arnaud Binard known for his appearance in Modern Family guest stars as the party boy owner of a popular Saint Tropez nightclub.
