Netflix has shared the first look at Bridgerton season three which dives into the love story of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton — via a tweet on 17 June.

FIRST LOOK AT ‘BRIDGERTON’ SEASON THREE
Netflix teased fans with a first look at the third season of period drama Bridgerton following their Tudum event. This season, the series shifts focus from Anthony Bridgerton to his younger brother Colin Bridgerton (played by Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (played by Nicola Coughlan).
Colin returns from his travels but to his disappointment Penelope gives him the cold shoulder. Eager to win back their friendship, Colin helps Penelope boost her confidence so as to attract the perfect husband. However, it seems he figures out his true feelings for his friend in the process.

PHOEBE DYNEVOR NOT RETURNING FOR ‘BRIDGERTON’ SEASON THREE
Actress Phoebe Dynevor, who played the role of Daphne Bridgerton — Colin’s sister is not returning for the third season. Phoebe was the lead actress in season one of the series as the storyline focused on her love story with the Duke of Hastings Simon Bassett played by Regé-Jean Page.
The second season of the series focused on the love story of Daphne’s brother Antony Bridgerton (played by Jonathan Bailey) and his complicated love story with leading lady Kate Sharma (played by Simone Ashley).
So, hearts were broken all over the world when Lady Whistledown announced that Regé-Jean was not returning for season two. Phoebe has followed suite.
“Sadly not in season 3. Potentially in the future. But Season 3, I’m just excited to watch as a viewer,” she said to Screen Rant.
