‘The River’ star Galaletsang Koffman plays Dimakatso in ‘Kleva-ish’
Actress Galaletsang Koffman, who plays Beauty in 1Magic’s ‘The River’ has secured the role of Dimakatso in comedy film ‘Kleva-ish’.

Talented actress Galaletsang Koffman, who’s been playing Beauty since season one of The River opens up about playing Dimakatso on the comedy film Kleva-ish.

GALALETSANG KOFFMAN: NEW ROLE
Sowetan reports that The River actress Galaletsang Koffman will star alongside House of Zwide actress Nefisa Mkhabela as well as rising stars Ontshiametse Molekoa, Phineas Bullets and Tshepiso Jeme.
Koffman reveals that her character Dimakatso is a tomboy who loves spinning cars in the film, which was shot in Mabopane, north of Pretoria.
“She couldn’t further her education which is mostly a reality for most people in township communities,” adds Koffman.
The thespian adds that she chose to take two months off from filming The River to focus on her role as Dimakatso.

PLAYING BEAUTY IN ‘THE RIVER’
The Pretoria-born actress Galaletsang Koffman has been playing the role of Beauty on the telenovela The River since season one.
Her character in the 1 Magic telenovela is a young aspiring beautician, who has a BA Marketing Degree, lives in a township called Refilwe, is vibrant, loud and misunderstood.
TVSA reports that series creator Phathu Makwarela, who is Executive Producer at Tshedza Pictures confirmed The River is cancelled after six seasons:
“When we created The River seven years ago, we knew that we wanted to tell a story that will have a definite ending. Now on its sixth season, we feel the time is right to bring the story of these beloved characters to an end, on our own terms and when viewers still treasure the show.”
Koffman also revealed to Sowetan that she is weeks away from launching her YouTube variety talk show series called Half a Corner Kouch.
