‘7de Laan’ star Anelisa Phewa scores role in ‘Soon Comes Night’
Talented actor Anelisa Phewa, who played Sifiso in ‘7de Laan’ plays a loose cannon in Netflix’s series, ‘Soon Comes Night’.

Popular actor Anelisa Phewa stars in new drama series, Soon Comes Night on Netflix alongside Kwenzo Ngcobo, Don Mlangeni and Sisanda Henna.

ANELISA PHEWA: NEW ROLE
Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela reports that talented star Anelisa Phewa, who is famously known for his roles in 7de Laan portrays the role of Vincent in Soon Comes Night.
“Anelisa Phewa in new series. Phewa stars in new Netflix crime drama “Soon Comes Night” as Vincent, a wild man, a loose cannon, and a tough guy named Vincent, living in a world of simple brutality – kill or be killed,” tweeted Mphela.
According to filmmaker Eddie Ramohlale the upcoming series, Soon Comes Night is a 6-part crime drama series directed by Thabang Moleya and Sanele Zulu.
The Generations star will act alongside actors Albert Pretorius, Didintle Khunou, Kenneth Nkosi, Bahumi Mhlongo and many more.
Soon Comes Night premiered on Friday, 19 January 2024 on popular streaming platform Netflix.

BACKGROUND: ‘SOON COMES NIGHT’
TVSA reports that Soon Comes Night is a drama series about a former freedom fighter who orchestrates a series of heists in defiance of the law while trying to evade corrupt authorities and a cop with a tragic past.
The Netflix thriller which is set in the 1990s tells a tale about liberation hero turned heist king, Alex Shabane (played by The Wife’s Kwenzo Ngcobo), and a broken Apartheid cop seeking redemption, Detective Sakkie Oosthuizen (Albert Pretorius).
The series is inspired by actual events and a notorious heist legend, the series follows Alex’s return to South Africa, where he resorts to crime when the promised “spoils of war” fail to materialise.
