Actor Dumisani Dlamini discusses his role in ‘Isitha: The Enemy’

Legendary actor Dumisani Dlamini has landed the character of Nsimbi in e.tv’s popular telenovela, ‘Isitha: The Enemy’.

Actor, producer and directore Dumisani Dlamini has secured a role in e.tv’s Isitha: The Enemy.

DUMISANI DLAMINI: LATEST ROLE

The renowned South African actor Dumisani Dlamini tells TshisaLIVE that he’s happy to join Black Brain Pictures’ Isitha: The Enemy.

“I’ll be playing an interesting character, Nsimbi. He is a rich man from KZN and will be facing off with Rebecca Mabuza in the story. Nsimbi will be shaking things up in Isitha. The viewers will grow to love me,” says the actor.

He adds that Mandla N from Black Brain contacted him and explained the story idea of the role he will be playing. Dlamini understood what he was talking about, and he’s already I’m killing it on set.”

The actor stated he can produce, direct and he’s an artist. “Looking back, I wouldn’t have fathered a superstar [American rapper and singer Doja Cat] if I wasn’t an artist myself. It is in our bloodline to be in the creative arts space.”

Dlamini also reveals that he’s currently working on an Afro-pop and kwaito single

The legendary actor is famously known for his role as Crocodile in Sarafina alongside Hollywood actor Whoopi Goldberg.

Dlamini has also appeared in Isibaya, eHostela, The Wife, Muvhango, Uzalo, Shaka Ilembe, Reyka, Zone 14 and Durban Gen.

‘ISITHA: THE ENEMY’ RATINGS SOAR

The e.tv popular telenovela, Isitha: The Enemy secured second place on the channel with over 4 million viewers in March and April.

The Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) figures reveal that Isitha: The Enemy received 4 million viewers on e.tv in March. While TVSA reveals that the show remained second place with 4.4 million viewers.

The Black Brain Pictures’ popular telenovela secured third position on e.tv with 3 700 513 viewers after House of Zwide in February.

The telenovela stars actors Thobani Nzuza, Dawn Thandeka King, Senzo Radebe, Linda Sebezo and many more.

ACTOR GETS MARRIED

Sunday World reports that the producer-actor Dumisani Dlamini tied the knot after his previous engagements to Girlie Nhlengethwa and Nandi Ndlovu.

A family friend, who attended the wedding told the publication that Dlamini and Mulela are head over heels in love.

“Both Dumisani and Ophelia were in cloud nine and they couldn’t get their hands off each other.”

The 59-year-actor confirmed that his family visited the bride’s family for the welcoming of the groom.

He added that it wasn’t a wedding but Umembeso, where the bride’s family received gifts from the groom’s family as a sign of respect and welcoming umkhwenyana [the groom].

“Another ceremony will take place in Durban at my homestead, where we will continue to celebrate this union. My wife’s family and other guests who were there were very welcoming and that really made me feel great.”
