‘SHUDU FINDS HER MAGIC’

In the book, Musida narrates the story of her upbringing in Ha-Vhangani, a small village in Limpopo. A young Musida has to move away from Limpopo to Mpumalanga where her mom has just gotten a new job. At her new school, Musida is bullied by the other pupils.

She shared that one lesson she learnt about going through something as a young girl, is the importance of talking to an adult you trust.

“This could be a parent, a family member, a teacher or an elder. Remember that being bullied is not your fault. There is nothing wrong with you.”

SHUDU AND ALL THE MAGIC

The children’s book is available in six languages for everyone across South Africa to read. Some of the languages you can read Shudu Finds Her Magic in are isiZulu, isiXhosa, Sesotho and Afrikaans.

Musida took to her Instagram to share that for every copy of the book sold, another copy will be donated to SADAG and Childline SA. She also took a moment to thank everyone who has supported her thus far.

“I’ve always believed that I don’t stand alone but I have a village behind me and thank you so much to you all for being my village.”

The children’s book is available at retailers across the country.
