Stardew Valley be adding a split-screen multiplayer co-op function to Stardew Valley on PC.
Stardew Valley is known as one of the more wholesome games, and it is still rolling out new updates. Creator, Eric Barone (aka @ConcernedApe) released details regarding the state of the games next big update.
Update 1.4 released last November and introduced a new end-game mystery; a new 14-heart event, fish ponds, and a lot of gameplay improvements.
The game will be adding a split-screen multiplayer co-op function to Stardew Valley on PC. With November around the corner, the developer gave players a peek into what they can expect from the next update.
Barone tweeted a picture of the new two-player feature in action. In follow-up tweets with fans, he stressed that the number of simultaneous players might vary.
The screenshot shows off new whimsical stuff for the farm and village life game. There are two players on a split-screen and in multiplayer. The players can do whatever chore they want within the world, and they can even move their bed.
The PC version of the game will support up to four players. The picture also revealed a farm on the sand, a slime wearing sunglasses (beach vibes baby), and two new artisan machines.
Barone teased the new location in a previous tweet. It showed the two players fishing h in a mangrove lake; mangroves usually grow in salt water, so this is probably an unlockable seaside area.
There is continuous work on the update as well as on two other games, One might take place in the world of Stardew Valley, and the other may tie into the game in some way.
There’s no confirmed release date for Stardew Valley’s 1.5 updates.
I’m guessing it might release in November to coincide with the next-gen consoles launch dates and because 2019’s big update, 1.4 was also released near the end of November 2019.
