Time for free PC games from Epic Store again. You have until 3 December 2020 to download this week’s free games: MudRunner. If you missed last week’s freebies, you can purchase it from the store.
Epic Games gave away Elite Dangerous, an award-winning multiplayer space-simulation; and The World Next Door, an action Indie game to take you on an immersive journey.
MudRunner, which was developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive back in October 2017, is the ultimate off-road experience simulation game.
You need to take the wheel and dare to keep going in incredible all-terrain vehicles. Venture across the extreme Siberian landscape with only a map and a compass to guide you.
There are 19 powerful vehicles to choose from. The developers explain that each vehicle has its “own characteristics and attachable equipment”.
“Complete your objectives and deliveries by enduring perilous conditions across wild, untamed landscapes in extreme conditions with dynamic day-night cycles”.
The MudRunner American Wilds Edition will be released soon. In the meantime, you can get the American Wilds expansion for R100. The Ridge, The Valley and Old-Timers DLCs (downloadable content) are available for free.
MudRunner has a Top Critic Average of 73. Dominic Leighton from The Sixth Axis gave it a rating of 7 out of 10, saying it is “utterly unique” and is “basically unparalleled” as a niche simulation. Leighton added:
“However, the difficulty level and lack of pace are likely going to make it a very niche game. The camera is an extra challenge in itself”.
You have until 3 December to download MudRunner for free. After that, the game will be available for R280.99 once again.
Developed by MorbidWare and published by Frontier Developments, Elite Dangerous is a multiplayer, space-simulation action game with a massive open world.
