An upbeat Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena is unfazed to face TP Mazembe at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Mokwena is confident and says there is nothing that will change in terms of technicalities against Mazembe.

The Masandawana coach says his players must be familiar with playing anywhere and they know Lucas Moripe.

The struggle comes as Loftus Versfeld and FNB Stadiums are both unavailable this coming weekend – Mokwena is upbeat.

In addition, Sundowns are already through to the Caf Champions League Last Eight and will wrap up Group A games versus Mazembe.

MOKWENA CONFIDENT OF DOING WELL AT LUCAS MORIPE VS. MAZEMBE

Mokwena’s men were ready to play at Loftus but there is a rugby match and the Calabash will see Kaizer Chiefs hosting Moroka Swallows.

Speaking ahead of the clash against the five-time African champions, Mokwena says Sundowns are unfazed about playing at Moripe Stadium.

“Nothing from a technical perspective, I don’t think we expect much changes in preparation,” says an unfazed Mokwena about Moripe and Mazembe.

“Fortunately we used it earlier this season as our home ground.

“So we’re quite familiar with the turf, we will train there tomorrow (Friday).

“Just to get a little bit more familiarity around it, and that’s football.

“You have to be prepared to play everywhere, anywhere.

“And play your best every single time – that’s what I expect.

“I expect a good game of football.”

SUNDOWNS BOSS MOKWENA PRAISES THE VENUE IN ATTERIDGEVILLE

Moreover, the upbeat Mokwena adds that the venue for SuperSport United is not a bad pitch for Sundowns.

Furthermore, he states that he is banking on their good result against Gavin Hunt’s men at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

“The last time we played there, not so long ago against SuperSport, we got a result,” adds an upbeat Mokwena about Lucas Moripe Stadium.

“That’s it, we just have to perform, whether we’re playing at Loftus or Lucas.

“We just have to perform, that is the mentality going into this game.”
