Pitso linked with Nigeria job as Chiefs continue to drag their feet

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has been linked with a move to Nigeria after his exit from Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates.

‘Jingles’ could coach the Super Eagles of Nigeria if offered the job.

Current Nigeria head coach José Peseiro is underpressure after two opening draws against Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the World Cup qualifiers.

Pitso, who is now in the market, said he would love to coach at the national level again.

Jay Jay Okocha give praise to Pitso Mosimane

Former Super Eagles midfielder Jay Jay Okocha believes Mosimane could be a good fit for the Super Eagles.

“Of course, I think Pitso is without any doubt one of the best African coaches. His track record is there for everyone to be seen,” he was quoted on iDiski Times.

“If we [Nigeria] can get a coach like that, he’d add great value to our football, a coach that has a lot of experience at home in Africa.

“I don’t know how true that is [the rumours], but of course a coach like that is most welcome,” said Okocha.

Pitso. who is linked with Kaizer Chiefs, says he will wait for the right offer instead of rushing into his next job.
