Orlando Pirates to wrap up fourth signing ‘in a matter of days”-report.

Orlando Pirates are believed to be on the verge of signing a fourth player ahead of the new season, if the latest reports are anything to go by.

Orlando Pirates are believed to be on the verge of signing a fourth player ahead of the new season, if the latest reports are anything to go by.

Pirates have already signed three players if media reports are to be believed, and that number could go up to eight, very soon.

So far, Pirates are thought to have already signed TS Galaxy goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi, All Stars midfielder Siphelo Baloni with Marumo Gallants winger Katlego Otladisa believed to be on the verge of being signed by the Soweto giants as well.

Besides those names, they are believed to be in talks to sign Sicelo Hlatshwayo, a defender that can play both centrally or on the right hand side. They will be hoping to wrap up a deal with Golden Arrows, whom they have a very good relationship with. Pirates are also thought to have been offered the opportunity to re-sign former fan favourite Andile Jali, as well as another TS Galaxy player and recent Bafana Bafana call up, Bathusi Aubaas

Pirates have also not been resting on their laurels with regards to trying to make signings in the forward areas, with reports from this publication on Sunday, revealing that the club are progressing well in their talks to rope in Marumo Gallants winger Katlego Otladisa. It doesn’t seem to end there, however, with the latest reports claiming they are about to beat Mamelodi Sundowns to Maritzburg United attacking midfielder Karim Kimvuidi.

Now according to Soccer-Laduma Kimvuidi could be announced as a Pirates player in a matter of days! 

Pirates set to sign Kimvuidi

“Pirates are serious in their interest in Karim Kimvuidi and the club is willing to sacrifice one or two players in their foreign quota to open space for him. He is a creative midfielder who the club has identified a role for in coach Jose Riveiro’s team for next season, Talks have been ongoing and it’s just that Maritzburg have been focused on the play-offs to decide their future in the league. This is a player with a bright future and is aiming for overseas as his destination in the next few season and that’s why he came to South Africa to market himself for a European move,” said the source to the same publication.

Sundowns could still be lurking for the player and be looking to challenge Pirates all the way for Kimvuidi, but the latest reports seem to suggest that the player is heading to Mayfair.
