Orlando Pirates are closing on on the signature of one of the most talented players in the PSL!

The Buccaneers are gearing up for a big 2023/24 campaign which will include CAF Champions League football!

Jose Riveiro will need as much depth in his squad as possible, and now a star midfielder is reportedly close to joining his side!

Maritzburg United’s Karim Kimvuidi is closing in on a blockbuster move to the mighty Buccaneers!

The 21-year-old star from DR Congo has been a shining light in Maritzburg United’s dark campaign, making 34 appearances for the club this season.

Orlando Pirates to complete major signing?

“Orlando Pirates are serious in their interest in Karim Kimvuidi and the club is willing to sacrifice one or two players in their foreign quota to make space for him.” a SoccerLaduma report read.

“He is a creative midfielder who the club has identified a role for in coach Jose Riveiro’s team for next season.

“Talks have been ongoing and it’s just that Maritzburg have been focused on the play-offs to decide their future in the league.

“This is a player with a bright future and is aiming for overseas as his destination in the next few season and that’s why he came to South Africa to market himself for a European move.”

In other news, interest is pouring in for an Orlando Pirates attacker who’s set to leave the club.

The Ghanaian attacker joined the Buccaneers in 2021 from King Faisal FC. Despite scoring nine goals in his opening season at the club, Peprah was shipped out on loan to Maritzburg United.

Peprah struggled to impress at Maritzburg United who are on the brink of getting relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

There is some good news though for Peprah with Tanzanian giants Azam FC and Young Africans both interested in signing him!
