Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder George Maluleka still faces a bleak future at the club after struggling for game time this season.
Reports of Maluleka possibly leaving Sundowns on loan for the remainder of the season surfaced last week.
However, his agent, Sean Roberts said he hasn’t had talks with Sundowns over the future of the former Kaizer Chiefs star.
Roberts, though, admitted he is surprised that Maluleka isn’t playing regularly for Sundowns, especially this season.
“We haven’t had any talks with any club and we haven’t even talked with Sundowns about George going out on loan. I am surprised he’s not playing at Sundowns,’’ Roberts told Sowetan.
Furthermore, Roberts said they will wait on Sundowns to hear what their plans are with Maluleka in the ‘next couple of weeks’.
And while Maluleka remains commmited to Sundowns, all he wants is to play, whether at the Tshwane giants or elsewhere, said Roberts.
“We will hear what’s happening in the next couple of weeks. All he wants to do is play, whether at Sundowns or anywhere else we’ll see. At this moment, he’s fully committed at Sundowns.
“Obviously, any player at this level wants to play,’’ added Roberts.
Maluleka has featured just twice for Sundowns this season, and that amounted to just 15 minutes on the pitch.
