PSL side to announce former Kaizer Chiefs striker? 9 November

Careers have to move on. The agent of this former Kaizer Chiefs striker has confirmed talks with a PSL side over a looming deal.

Most Kaizer Chiefs fans still love Samir Nurkovic, don’t they? He looked like the best striker since Knowledge Musona in an Amakhosi jersey.

KAIZER CHIEFS RELEASE SAMIR NURKOVIC

It was in July 2019 when an unknown tall striker in Amakhosi colours from Serbia ran onto the green grass for his first appearance as a substitute in the Carling Black Label Cup against Orlando Pirates.

Fast forward to the end of that season and Nurkovic finished as one of the best strikers in the league with 14 goals and six assists in 31 games, including the nickname ‘Kokota Piano.’

But the next two seasons were marked by lengthy injuries and poor form.

The 30-year-old Serbian was finally released in June alongside 12 other players out of Naturena.

Nurkovic later joined Royal Eagles before a dramatic departure last month.

MOVE TO TS GALAXY PENDING? 

According to a new report, the towering center forward could sign for TS Galaxy or an unnamed club abroad.

“Nurkovic’s agent (Dajan Simac) had a chat with Tim Sukazi, and we will see if they will accept the offer,” a source told FARPOst.

“They [Galaxy] have given Nurkovic an offer. The agent had a conversation with Sukazi over the phone, but the Nurkovic camp is waiting for the club to make the offer official, in writing, with the right terms and all.

“Talks are still ongoing but so far, so good. They are also talking with another club overseas.

The insider concluded to suggest that the former Chiefs star could seal his new move in January.

“He will likely make a move in January. He might leave South Africa, but he wants to stay as he loves the country,” the source concluded.
