As The South African website reported on Sunday evening, Arthur Zwane’s side will have to watch the final on television after failing to break down AmaZulu’s defense.

After conceding an away goal in the first leg, Chiefs needed to score at least one goal at Moses Mabhida Stadium but Romain Folz’s backline had a great performance to execute.

Additionally, Chiefs’ former player George Maluleka simply controlled the game like a true midfield general to win the Man of the Match gong.

Speaking to the media after the loss, Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane gave solid credit to the 33-year-old player known as ‘Mido’ from Tembisa.

“I think he did well, good for George,” said Zwane as quoted by KickOff.

“We know he’s a quality player. He used his experience. I go to the final with his performance, so there is no doubt

With players worldwide often making surprise returns to former clubs, could Chiefs and Maluleka do it? Well, we honestly doubt it but the football business is always capable of more drama than Uyajola 9/9.
