The war of words appears to have broken out between Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena and Steve Komphela.

Komphela, who recently rejoined Lamontville Golden Arrows as coach, ended the club’s losing streak of 11 matches with a win over Polokwane City.

After the win, the former Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs coach praised his players but all took a jab at Mokwena.

Rulani Mokwena and Komphela worked at Downs for three years before the latter joined Moroka Swallows.

“I know of coaches we worked with, you will never get anywhere close to their briefcase, the laptop has four pins, and they hide the information like the pin code accesses a nuclear weapon, no man, open yourself up and suck as much as they can, because the blood they suck out of you is the blood that’s going to be transferred to other for growth and development,” Komphela said.

On Thursday, Mokwena threw shades at his former colleague during a press conference.

Masandawana plays Maritzburg on Sunday evening in the round of 16 of the Nedbank Cup.

“We have to come well prepared, I got an opportunity to clear our game and check our performance against SuperSport and also check their(Swallows) last game but a lot more games were loaded on my laptop that has five passwords, so I will go into that a bit later today,” he said.

iDiski TImes writer Lorenz Köhler revealed no questions about ‘passwords’ were asked but Mokwena dived into the remarks anyway.

After Mokwena’s video was shared online, fans felt shades were thrown at Komphela.

Both coaches will still face each other towards the end of the season.
