Cavin Johnson seemingly rules himself out

Former Platinum Stars, SuperSport and AmaZulu boss Cavin Johnson has overseen a 2-1 defeat to Golden Arrows and a thrilling 3-2 win over Spurs. Does the former Head of Development see himself getting the job permanently? Not necessarily.

“It is something that appeals to me,” Johnson said as quoted by iDiskiTimes.

“But there is something bigger that appeals to me at Kaizer Chiefs. I’ve been to some of the biggest teams in the world and I have worked with one of the biggest teams [Al Ahly] in the world.

“And when I say this team [Chiefs] has got that potential and I think you need to bring from a bigger team and put it in this team but not as a head coach.

“The head coach will always be changed in any club. But I feel that this team is not where is supposed to be and maybe with the little knowledge that I have, I think this team can be as big as it should be,” he added.
