Kekana was released by Mamelodi Sundowns after a decade with the powerhouse club, and most recently the 36-year-old midfielder was said to be in line for a return to his home province of Limpopo to join one of Marumo Gallants, Baroka FC or Sekhukhune United.

Kekana has also been linked with a move to struggling Swallows and Chippa United, while KickOff has now reported that both AmaZulu and Cape Town City have made enquiries about his services.

“Hlompho met with Baroka last week,” a source revealed to KickOff. “He is still undecided about his next move regarding his soccer career.

“Both AmaZulu and Cape Town Town have also made enquiries.”

KEKANA PLAYED OVER 350 MATCHES FOR SUNDOWNS

Reigning DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns announced in early November that they had come to an amicable agreement with Hlompho Kekana.

The veteran midfielder departed Chloorkop as the club’s most decorated captain having made more than 350 appearances across all competitions for the Brazilians.
