Siyethemba Sithebe scored the only goal at Thohoyandou Stadium on Easter Sunday in the 57th minute for a fifth consecutive league win for Usuthu.

The result left Black Leopards rock-bottom of the league standings and Benni McCarthy wanting more from the encounter.

The head coach told the AmaZulu website: “I am pleased with the performance, and the three points especially after the international break.

“I think we didn’t create enough chances to win convincingly, but we definitely created the majority of the chances, that when the 90 minutes ended then we could come away with 3 points.”

AmaZulu next play Stellenbosch FC at the Daniel Craven Stadium on Friday, 9 April.

Kick-off is at 17:00.
