AmaZulu humiliate Kaizer Chiefs to emulate Mamelodi Sundowns

AmaZulu became the second team to beat Kaizer Chiefs 4-0 after Mamelodi Sundowns at Moses Mabhida Stadium Friday night.

AmaZulu became the second team to beat Kaizer Chiefs 4-0 after Mamelodi Sundowns at Moses Mabhida Stadium Friday night.

Dumisani Zuma, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Junior Dion and Bonginkosi Ntuli all netted as AmaZulu recorded a historic win over Chiefs.

The scoreline was 3-0 at half-time, and Chiefs never looked like a team that would come back, especially after Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana missed a penalty in the second half.

In doing so, AmaZulu emulated Sundowns who also beat Chiefs 4-0 in their opening league game of the season.

Interestingly, what’s similar is that Chiefs also failed to convert a penalty that day, and it was Khama Billiat who was denied by Ronwen Williams.
