“Good luck”: Ex-Chiefs star Ngezana officially unveiled in Romania

Former Kaizer Chiefs towering defender Siyabonga Ngezana has been officially unveiled by his new club FCSB in Romania.

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana has been officially unveiled by his new club FCSB in Romania as the club announced on social media.

This comes after Ngezana spent a number of days in South Africa as he struggled with relevant documents prior to his travel to Romania, leaving FCSB frustrated.

Media reports and social media posts now indicate that the former Amakhosi defender, Ngezana has joined his new teammates in the Netherlands.

FCSB are currently in pre-season training in the Dutch country as Ngezana will also get an opportunity to play a few friendlies.

As also reported by The South African, Ngezana also known as ‘Tower’, will wear his famous Chiefs shirt number 30.

The towering Bafana Bafana international defender, Ngezana completed his switch to the European side, FCSB in a deal worth a reported R12 million ahead of next season.

Ngezana graduated to the senior side in 2016 after working with former coach Arthur Zwane on the youth team.

Despite displaying good signs of a good defender under ex-coach Steve Komphela who will coach Swallows FC next season, Ngezana struggled to maintain consistency and was at some stage a victim of the boo boys in the previous term.

The 25-year-old defender nearly spent seven years at Naturena but he had a season of mixed fortunes last term.

FCSB OFFICIALLY WELCOMES DEFENDER NGEZANA

Previously referred to as Steaua Bucharesti, FCSB reached an agreement with the Soweto giants and Chiefs announced the news of the central defender’s move in the middle of June, and the fans also wished him luck.

The former Chiefs development player, Ngezana has also been officially welcomed by his new club in a media statement.

 “The 25-year-old, who will wear the number 30, has arrived in the Red-Blue Cantonment of the Netherlands and will begin training alongside his new teammates.” a club statement read as quoted by IdiskiTimes.

“Our club welcomes him and may he have many successes in the red-blue shirt.”
