Liverpool has signed Japanese defensive midfielder Wataru Endo from VfB Stuttgart on a long-term contract.

Following the departures of Fabinho, James Milner, and Jordan Henderson, the Reds have struggled to be competitive in the midfield, especially against Chelsea, where they played a 0-0 draw.

The Japan international will become Liverpool’s third signing of the summer after finalising personal terms and completing a medical. Endo could be a valuable option in midfield for the Reds this season.
