DHL Stormers re-sign Prop Sti Sithole from Lions

The DHL Stormers have bolstered their front row for the upcoming season by re-signing their former Prop Sti Sithole.

The DHL Stormers have bolstered their front row for the upcoming season by re-signing their former Prop Sti Sithole.

Sithole returns to the Stormers who gave him a breakthrough as a professional rugby player in 2014 which almost a decade ago.

Sithole left Stormers in 2016 to join Southern Kings but a year later, he found himself on the books of Lions whom he played for since 2017.

Now, the 30-year-old is back to where it all started, this time as a better and more experienced prop to try and help improve the DHL Stormers.

STORMERS RE-SIGN STI SITHOLE FROM LIONS

Stormers head coach John Dobson is delighted to have Sithole back in the team in what is also a reunion after having worked with him in the junior ranks.

“Sti and I know each other well, having worked together at junior level, so I know what he is capable of and I also know that he is a great fit for our squad,” Dobson told the Stormers website.

“He has been an incredibly consistent performer for some years now and we are thrilled to have him back with us.”

“He has a good head on those broad shoulders and at 30 is coming into his prime as a prop, so we are delighted to have him part of our squad again,” he said.
