Comrades Marathon: How to track a runner

The 97th Comrades Marathon will take place between Durban and Pietermaritzburg on Sunday, 9 June. Don’t miss it!

The 97th Comrades Marathon will take place between Durban and Pietermaritzburg on Sunday, 9 June.

It will be the 49th ‘up’ run.

As extensively reported by The South African website, this year’s race will cover 85.91km, making it one of the shortest ‘up’ runs of all time.

The race will start at the Durban City Hall at 05:30 and will end 12 hours later at 17:30 at the Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse in Pietermaritzburg.

Spectators wishing to track runners can download the official Comrades Marathon App via the Google Play and Apple App Store.

The South African website will publish the winners of both the men’s and women’s races immediately after the victors cross the finish line.
