Orlando Pirates have been a busy team of late and are pressed into action once again on Thursday afternoon when they have a date with high-flying Royal AM.

Here we take a look at how Orlando Pirates could line up for their DStv Premiership fixture against Royal AM.

Orlando Pirates starting XI prediction

Siyabonga Mpontshane has been a picture of dependability at the back for Orlando Pirates and will continue to keep goal for the Buccaneers, barring catastrophe.

Having been stung by dropped points in Pietermaritzburg in their last outing, Orlando Pirates aren’t likely to rotate excessively and we expect to see Paseka Mako and Wayde Jooste take up positions as fullbacks.

In central defence we expect Happy Jele to be paired with Kwanda Mngonyama with the latter providing the legs and the former the cool head and experience. They will have their hands full with a dangerous Royal AM attack.

Thabang Monare and Goodman Mosele should form the spine of the midfield for the Sea Robbers on Thursday.

We would also expect Fortune Makaringe to be deployed in a role that would make him a fourth attacker.

Up front we predict that Orlando Pirates will revert to a three man attack with Deon Hotto on the left, Terrence Dzvukamanja on the right and Tshegofatso Mabasa leading the line.

Vincent Pule, Richard Ofori, Zakhele Lepasa and Thembinkosi Lorch are all long-term absentees through injury and will not feature.
