Actor Mandla Gaduka returns to TV in ‘Lenyalo Ha Se Papadi’

Former ‘Generations’ actor Mandla Gaduka is excited about his role as Charlie in Mzansi Magic’s sitcom ‘Lenyalo Ha Se Papadi’.

Talented actor Mandla Gaduka, who’s known as Choppa in Generations has returned to the small screen as Charlie in Black Brain Pictures’ latest sitcom Lenyalo Ha Se Papadi.

The well-known actor Mandla Gaduka whose last TV role was on Isithembiso two years ago tells Daily Sun that he’s excited to play Charlie in Lenyalo Ha Se Papadi.

“I’m playing the character of Charlie. It’s a very exciting role.”

Gaduka adds that he was making a living doing other jobs when he wasn’t acting on television. He advises his industry mates to learn other skills such as directing and producing to survive in the industry. 

“I believe in learning more about the industry because this can help you get wherever you want to be as a performer.”

The talented actor Mandla Gaduka adds that his life changed for good after landing the role of Choppa in SABC1 soapie Generations, now dubbed Generations: The Legacy.

“That character really pushed me to work hard. I am a very reserved person and to make so many people smile was shocking for me.”

Gaduka stars alongside Scandal! actress Mapaseka Koetle as Mpho and Durban Gen actor-director Meshack Magabane, who plays Desmond. Mpho and Desmond end their marriage and try to navigate a new life of co-parenting, according to Sunday World. 

The cast also includes Estate actress Clementine Mosimane, actress Nomzamo ‘Zamo’ Dlamini, 7de Laan actor Nicholas Nkuna, actors Lindokuhle Mbonani, Siphiwe Ngcongwane, and Thando Dunjani.

Shirley Adonisi, who’s director of local entertainment channels at M-Net tells Sunday World: “Over the past few years, the telenovela, drama, and reality genres have been a hit with our viewers. One genre we’re excited to also bring to the forefront on our channel slates is comedy. We’re constantly ahead of the curve when it comes to viewer tastes and preferences, and diversifying our line-up is a move we are confident our audience will embrace.”
