Job 14:1

Prayer

Dear God,

In the few days we have here on earth, we ask that you grant us peace and joy in our hearts. We ask that you help us enjoy the little things, to eat and drink reflecting your glory – and to do on this earth what you have called us to do. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

The Bible in History

The Bible from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía, ‘the books’) is a collection of religious texts and scriptures sacred in Christianity, Judaism and Samaritanism. The good book was originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek. These texts feature instructions, stories, poetry, and prophecies. The Bible is a product of divine inspiration. The collection of materials that are accepted as part of the Bible by a particular religious tradition or community is called a biblical canon.

Christianity is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion rooted on the life and teachings of the son of God Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Christianity is considered the world’s largest religion with about 2.5 billion followers. These individuals are identified as Christians. The religion believes that Jesus is the Son of God whose coming was prophesied in the Hebrew Bible or Old Testament.
