Trevor Noah is a highly sought-after man, and his “End of Days” tour took him to the United Kingdom where he also got the opportunity to sit down with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, discussing everything from world politics, the Royal Wedding, and of course, his favourite subject, Donald Trump.

The Daily Show host never misses a chance to take a dig at the US President, and had another opportunity as he was asked about the difference in doing satire during the time of The Donald’s predecessor, Barack Obama and his current administration.

“Oh to try and compare the two would be not false equivalency, but absolute madness,” Noah said.

“Anyone who tries to compare them has to admit that they are being crazy.”

He went on to add that Trump has left “no contradiction unturned”, and described him as ripe for comedy, while with Obama, a little more digging was required in order to get the right piece of satire.

“Donald Trump has water on the surface… and the deeper you dig, the more water you find,” he continued.

“So I think that’s the difference between them. I think there is more.”

Noah took over from John Stewart on the Daily Show back in 2015, during the last two years of Obama’s tenure at the Oval Office, while Trump was hot on the campaign trail.

During his race to become the most powerful man in the world, the Republican candidate provided plenty of material for the Comedy Central flagship show, as Noah once famously compared him to an African dictator, in another instance, drawing parallels between him and former SA President Jacob Zuma.
