There is a growing number of short men opting to have surgery, in an attempt to get taller. Leg lengthening surgery is becoming increasingly popular and those who have gone under the knife for the procedure say they are happy with the results. A man who recently spoke to NBC News got the procedure said at 1.7018 meters, he considered himself short and had gotten tired of insults about his height. He said he had the surgery in January 2022, which increased his height to 1.778 meters. Leg lengthening is considered an expensive procedure which only became popular over the last five years. According to Dr Shahab Manboubian, who is a surgeon at the Height Lengthening Institute in California, it also an intense process, which often requires physical therapy.
