Just look at the size of this crowd, all chasing after a “fake”.
Canadian pop superstar Justin Bieber is in the country as part of Purpose World Tour Stadium edition. The “Sorry” hitmaker rocked Jozi on Sunday night and is currently in Cape Town ahead of his show at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday night.
Twitter went crazy Tuesday morning as (real) pictures went viral of the singer on top of Table Mountain. The Biebs may be in Cape Town but some Joburgers at Sandton City Mall were caught off guard as a “lookalike” got one over on them.
Aidan Atcheson decided to pull a prank on the Joburg “Beliebers”. He went all out, getting temporary replicas of Bieber’s tattoos and donning clothes similar to what Bieber wears on a daily basis.
The prankster even got his friends to act as a bodyguard, manager and even a photographer to follow them around as they walked through the mall. Teens in the mall soon took notice and soon there was a growing crowd of fans following the “fake Bieber”.
The crowd eventually got so big that Mall security came running to attempt get some crowd control in order. The security escorted Atcheson back to the car park but that didn’t stop the crowd growing to HUGE numbers. Trying to get the car out was another story in itself!
