Friday the 7th of April will eventually be added to South Africa’s history books, tens of thousands of South Africans from all walks of life turned out to call for President Zuma to step down. With a “National Day of Action” set for this week Wednesday, thousands more are set to take to the streets again.

Local Vlogger Adam Spires was at one of the many marches in Cape Town on Friday, he captured the incredible scenes as the huge crowds and their imaginative anti-Zuma posters and cutouts did the rounds. While documenting the day’s events, Adam came across Springbok legend Francois Pienaar, Pienaar knew Mandela personally and had a lot to say on just how disappointed Madiba would be with everything going on.

At one point Adam even gets the people around him to get a special ZumaMustFall chant going. With an aerial view it really becomes clear just how packed the Cape Town streets were, it shows how angry people are too.

Adam’s vlog from Friday has already gone viral, a whopping 157 thousand views on his Facebook page alone. While this video managed to place Pienaar at the protests, a few other South African celebrities were also spotted throughout the country. Former Archbishop Desmond Tutu was spotted in Hermanus while local rapper Jack Parrow took to social media to voice his concerns over President Zuma and just corrupt governance in general.

Where you in the streets on Friday? Even if the answer is yes, there is still a lot more to do.

Opinion: That was a nice protest, but what happens now?
