In another episode of the dumbest criminals in the world, we have this armed suspect who was arrested and smacked up by citizens when they caught him trying to rob a tourist in Cape Town.

From what can be heard in the video, the suspect yielded a knife to the tourist and tried to make away with his cellphone and bag.
When the locals saw the scuffle, they shouted out and chased after the suspect, who was attempting to flee the scene on foot.
He certainly did not have the legs to make it far enough because he was caught soon afterwards.

After a few kicks and smacks, the locals initiated a citizens arrest. The suspect refused to admit that he was attempting to rob the tourist when the question was put to him.
His case is weak though because he was seen in action and one of the locals has seized the knife he had used in his attempted robbery.
The citizens that initiated the arrest were foreign nationals and their participation in foiling the robbery was a message to South Africans to have a little bit of faith in most of them who are nothing like the scum they’d caught.
What is shocking in all of this is that, towards the end of the video below, the suspect still claimed that he owned the tourist’s bag he tried to flee with.
