Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) intends to call former Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter for another appearance to answer questions about his allegations of corruption at the embattled power utility. SCOPA Chairperson Mkhuleko Hlengwa said Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) CEO Busisiwe Mavuso would also be called because it appeared that she had knowledge of the private investigation de Ruyter launched while he was at the helm of the company. The Committee also wants to see Hawks investigator Brigadier Jap Burger, whom police commissioner Fannie Masemola reportedly appointed as a go-between the private investigators and the police, according to Mail and Guardian.
