The royal wedding fanfare shows no signs of letting up. From the engagement ring, to how Harry proposed to the hysterical dubbing of Afrikaans accents.

And now, there’s Trevor Noah. And this is a real double whammy for your Monday blues. In the clip below, Noah celebrates South Africa winning the Miss Universe pageant.

“First the Daily Show, now the universe.”

And then, he’s onto the whole royal engagement and how, as somebody from a mixed race family, he can’t wait for Markle’s family to meet the royals.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. In another clip, the hysterical Gina Yashere also explains why the engagement is the most rebellious thing a royal has ever done. Markle is divorced, American and black.

“Even in kids movies, they pick green before black,” she says.

Yashere does an excellent job of breaking down the subtle racism exhibited by the right-wing British press following the announcement.

If you heard  the clip above referencing the ‘chicken dinner’ proposal and you’re wondering  how Prince Harry proposed to Meghan Markle, let’s fill you in…

“It was just a standard, typical night for us,” Harry told the BBC’s Mishal Husain in an interview about the engagement, which aired Monday.

“What were we doing? Just roasting chicken ― trying to roast a chicken,” Markle added in response.

Harry then popped the question, a bit of a surprise move.

“It was just an amazing surprise,” Markle said. “It was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee.”

Markle told Husain she didn’t even let Harry get the words out to finish asking.

“I could barely let you finish proposing,” she said. “I was like, ‘Can I say yes now?’”

So cute, guys.
