matrics general knowledge fail

What’s South Africa’s national fish?

Is the top of the South African flag red or blue?

Who did the first heart transplant?

Who is the Minister of Finance?

Which planet is closest to the sun?

Can you answer all of the above questions correctly? Well, then you might be smarter – at general knowledge anyway – than a handful of matrics.

An informal general knowledge test was given to South African matric students during their 2017 December holiday and some of the answers will make you cringe.

The video was made by YouTuber Defining Dennis. He writes: I decided to put the Matrics of 2017 to the test and see how well they know South Africa.

To be fair, he did quiz them at Rage… so you know, maybe the students’ had their faculties… erm…. Affected.

Update: Okay folks, we don’t usually do this. But we had a very angry man send a very angry e-mail about this video. As you can cleary read from the copy above, we know this video is a joke. We know the matrics in the video are obviously not stupid. Heck, we don’t have a flippen clue what the national fish is either.

The matric results posted below the video obviously doesn’t insinuate such. But, you know, just in case you take life and posts like this bit too seriously, here’s your notice. We regularly link to related content in our posts – and that was the case here.
